Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the student's health status during morning and afternoon transportation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and respond to medical needs, including chronic condition management and emergency interventions.
- Follow individualized healthcare plans, including seizure protocols, allergy responses, asthma care, and other medical needs.
- Communicate daily with the student's family, school staff, and district nursing team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of health observations and interventions in compliance with state and district standards.
- Provide compassionate, professional support that promotes the student’s well-being during travel.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or youth-based healthcare strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the district’s nursing team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and care compliance.
- Skilled in responding to medical situations calmly and effectively.
Additional Details

The nurse will ride with the student from Billerica, MA to Lexington, MA each morning and return with them in the afternoon.

The actual ride time is approximately 1 hour each way, Paid for 4 hours/day regardless of actual transportation duration.
