• Supervise and monitor the student's health status during morning and afternoon transportation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and respond to medical needs, including chronic condition management and emergency interventions.
• Follow individualized healthcare plans, including seizure protocols, allergy responses, asthma care, and other medical needs.
• Communicate daily with the student's family, school staff, and district nursing team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of health observations and interventions in compliance with state and district standards.
• Provide compassionate, professional support that promotes the student’s well-being during travel.

• Active Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or youth-based healthcare strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the district’s nursing team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and care compliance.
• Skilled in responding to medical situations calmly and effectively.

• The nurse will ride with the student from Billerica, MA to Lexington, MA each morning and return with them in the afternoon.

• The actual ride time is approximately 1 hour each way, Paid for 4 hours/day regardless of actual transportation duration.
